(Amman – 10th of November 2019) Under the patronage of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands, Spark Jordan successfully launched its very own career day “Spark Career Day 2019” – organized by Akhtaboot – on Monday, 4th of November at the Landmark Hotel Amman with the attendance of more than 500 job seekers as well as the participation of 31 companies covering a wide range of industries and career options.
The career day targeted Spark’s educational grants beneficiaries, both Jordanians and Syrians, and provided them with more than 1,240 vacancies while giving them the chance to interact with company representatives to seek out possible employment opportunities in a wide range of fields and technical specializations relevant to their fields of study.
Haneen Khatib, Country Manager at Spark Jordan said: “Spark Career Day 2019 has proven to be a great success in terms of job seekers’ attendance as well as the number participating companies. By providing 1,240 job vacancies which covered a wide range of job roles and fields, the career day was able to attract more than 500 Spark beneficiaries, giving them the chance to seek out possible employment opportunities while interacting with company representatives to learn more about their companies. By working hand in hand with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands, we hope to continue to contribute to the economic and social development that our country Jordan needs the most.”
Spark Career Day 2019 ran for one day at the Landmark Hotel Amman and featured a number courses on topics related to employability and career progression such as CV writing and interview skills presented by experts in the HR field.
