You Have A Problem Being Told What To Do
When you get a job, your superiors will assign many tasks for you, and they will tell you what to do. They will comment on your work, ask you to make changes, and share their feedback with you. If you don’t like someone to tell you what to do, then you’re not fit for a real life job yet.
You’ve Never Had An Internship
If you’ve never had an internship in your related field of study, then jumping into a real job might be quite of a challenge for you. An internship will prep you for the real workforce and show you the dynamics of a real work place. It will teach you how to be punctual, committed, and dedicated. An Internship will also help you determine what you like. You can test the waters with an internship and see if getting a job in your industry would be a good fit for you.
You Are Inflexible
One of the core fundamentals of having a full-time job is learning to be flexible. If you find it hard to adapt to the environment around you, then you’re not ready for a real job yet. As a fresh graduate you must know that having a job means you have to go with the flow, and adjust to sudden changes at the workplace. You might have to work overtime and take over unexpected projects. If you’re not willing to learn how to be more flexible, then you’re not ready for a job yet.
You Are Afraid To Take Initiative
As a fresh grad you must know that stepping into the real world, requires you to get out of your comfort zone. If you’re used to getting things done in a certain way, then you will obviously get the same results. Having a real job will entail you to do more than what is required from you, and you’ll have to start thinking as a team member. If you’re afraid to speak up and share your thoughts and ideas, then you’re not well prepped for a real job yet. You will only grow when you learn to challenge yourself. So as a fresh graduate, you must challenge yourself, work on your skills, and learn to adapt to workplace dynamics.
