تعد معارض التوظيف فرصة فريدة للباحثين عن عمل للالتقاء بممثلي الشركات في مكان واحد والتعرف على الفرص الوظيفية المتاحة. وقد يبدو للباحث عن عمل لوهلة أنه الشخص لملائم لأي شاغر في مجال تخصصه دون التمعّن في المؤهلات الوظيفية والصفات الشخصية التي تميزه عن غيره من المرشحين.  ومن الجدير بالذكر أن استبيان الشركات خلال “معرض توظيف أخطبوط الثامن 2017” أظهر مشكلة واضحة في جاهزية المتقدمين للوظائف والذين كانت أعدادهم كبيرة بالنظر لعدد السير الذاتية التي تم تقديمها. ومن هنا تبرز مشكلة جوهرية في المعتقدات التي يحملها الباحثون عن عمل عن أنفسهم عند حضور معارض التوظيف من ناحية عدم إدراكهم لما يتطلبه الأمر للحصول على وظيفة في سوق العمل التنافسي.

Under the Patronage of His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II, Akhtaboot has successfully launched its first job fair in Aqaba “Akhtaboot 7th Job Fair 2016 – Aqaba” on the 9th and 10th of November 2016, providing over 1,700 vacancies.

Attending on behalf of His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II, H.E. Mr. Abdallah Yaseen, Commissioner of City Affairs at Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority (ASEZA), opened the job fair which was attended by over 3,000 job seekers and 25 companies covering a wide range of industries.
