Assess the conditions in your company and determine the areas that you can enhance. Next, take it upon yourself to do whatever you can to remedy such weaknesses, or at least make propositions for that if it isn’t within your control. Learn to work for the sake of your corporation, even if you are not asked to, and work hard as if you were the CEO and the entirety of your financial prospects depends on it. Don’t take your stable income for granted.

Whenever your department is assigned a task, try to assume a role of leadership and help your colleagues whenever possible. Actively make suggestions and try to take on additional responsibilities.

In order to acquire the mindset of an intrapreneur, you should not settle for a static condition of growth, but rather always thrive for the betterment of your company. You should think like a leader and renounce any negative attitude towards work.

  1. Work Towards a Higher Position and Request it Eventually

Having done some extra work, there is no shame in wanting to crystalize your efforts into a more tangible and permanent achievement, such as being promoted to a more elevated ranking. If there are any available openings to attain a higher position in your corporation, be the first to pursue it. If not, then you should consider soliciting that from your boss. Schedule a meeting with your superior and prepare a persuasive argument regarding why you should be upgraded, and apply appropriate and respectful argumentation conventions when speaking to him/her.
